How to Pick Your Jump Rope

Size – If you stand on the rope with one foot and bring the handles up, the bottom of the handles should be just below your armpits. You can also use the quick rule of thumb that your rope length should be 3 feet taller than your height.

Rope – It’s important to consider where you are going to be jumping rope and the surface you will be jumping rope on. For outside jump rope on an abrasive surface you should consider either a steel or PVC cable rope.

Handles – A ball bearing handle system will allow for faster more efficient turning of the cable which will make it easier to do longer jump rope workouts and it will extend the life of your jump rope.
